Te Hokioi ki Whanga Kakara
Te Hokioi ki Whanga Kakara (Te Hokioi, an eagle, Whanga Kakara meaning fragrant harbour) is Hong Kong’s premiere Māori kapa haka group, established as a way to connect with Māoritanga and showcase our unique culture in Hong Kong and the wider Asia region.

Our main kaupapa is to learn and practice waiata and haka, as a way to reconnect with our maoritanga and introduce our tamariki to tikanga maori. We also perform at a number of events such as the Kiwi Ball and the Consulate General Sevens Rugby reception evening.
