NZCCHK and HKSTP Global Connect Sign MoU to Strengthen New Zealand–Hong Kong Innovation Ties
The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (NZCCHK) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HKSTP Global Connect, marking a significant step forward in bilateral innovation collaboration. This non-binding, cost-neutral partnership provides NZCCHK with a structured, low-risk pathway to engage with Hong Kong’s largest innovation ecosystem, including access to HKSTP’s 2,600-startup portfolio.
Under the MoU, NZCCHK will focus on two key contribution areas: referring New Zealand startups and tech companies to HKSTP, and co-organising webinars, workshops, or events that showcase New Zealand’s innovation strengths in sectors such as agritech, clean tech, and digital health. These activities will enhance brand visibility, facilitate business matching, and create tangible value for members and stakeholders.
The partnership positions NZCCHK as a recognised gateway for New Zealand–Hong Kong innovation collaboration, supporting startups, corporates, and government agencies seeking to explore Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area opportunities.

Hong Kong Science and Technology Park
The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (NZCCHK) and Export New Zealand (ENZ), a division of BusinessNZ, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration and foster mutually beneficial relations.
The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation focused on facilitating trade, investment, and economic growth between New Zealand and Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and the Greater Bay Area. Key areas of cooperation include market access and trade promotion, policy advocacy, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Under the agreement, NZCCHK will regard ENZ as its prime partner for exports to the region, while ENZ will promote NZCCHK as its regional "unit." Both parties have committed to joint trade promotion activities, information sharing, and mutual support on policy matters.
The MoU is effective immediately and remains in force so long as both parties wish it to continue.
