Advocacy

International Business Committee

NZCCHK is a member of the International Business Committee (IBC) chaired by the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Government. The IBC comprises the Chairpersons of each of 30+ international chambers of commerce currently existing in Hong Kong. It meet on a quarterly basis at the Central Government Offices in Hong Kong. The IBC is a valuable conduit for communication between the Hong Kong Government and the international business community. It serves as an information flow, feedback mechanism on issues facing business and a vehicle for international chambers to collectively advocate on behalf of their members.

Chamber members are welcome to bring forward topics of interest or concern for advancing to IBC meetings.
Policy Address

Each year the Hong Kong Government (Chief Executive's Office) prepares and delivers a Policy Address which outlines the short, medium and long term plans of Government. This ranges from social and community needs through to large scale infrastructure development.

NZCCHK is invited to present submissions to the preparation of the Policy Address. The Chamber will collate contributions for submission and deliver these at a dedicated forum or in writing.

Chamber members are welcome to suggest contributions to Policy Address submissions at the appropriate time.
