Eco Expo Asia 2022 14 - 17 December 2022 Eco Expo Asia 2022 is organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; and supported by the Environment and Ecology Bureau of the HKSAR Government as co-organiser. Foreign Sourced Income Exemption regime for passive income Wednesday 26 October 2022 Hong Kong's Financial Services and Treasury Bureau conducted a consultation exercise and engagement sessions between June and September 2022 on the introduction of a foreign-sourced income exemption (FSIE) regime for passive income in Hong Kong. FSIE is grateful for all the views and suggestions provided, which have helped refine the legislative proposal. FSTB plans to introduce the Inland Revenue (Amendment) (Taxation on Specified Foreign-sourced Income) Bill 2022 ("the Bill") into the Legislative Council ("LegCo") in early November 2022. Prior to its introduction to the LegCo, we would like to give interested parties an online briefing on the key features of the Bill and address any enquires. |

China International Investment Arbitration Forum Thursday 13 October 2022 The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which came into force on 1 January 2022, is the largest regional FTA in the world, and China is one of its member states. RCEP will have an important impact on China's overseas investment and the development of international investment treaties. The newly revised Rules and Regulations of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) came into force on 1 July 2022, which will have a far-reaching influence on the rules and practice of international investment arbitration. |
